Beginner's Guide: Adding A Sim

The ability to add a sim depends on the following:

1. Your town's sim count - You are only allowed a certain number of sims per level, so check your town's sim count if you haven't reached the maximum yet for your current level.

2.  Available houses - If one of your sims get married or moves in with another sim, his or her house will become vacant.  A green house means it's vacant.  You can add a new sim to that vacant house or relocate another sim or an entire household to that house.

3. Available simoleons / LPs / SPs - If you plan to add a sim and have not yet exceeded your town's allowable sim count, you can add a sim by buying a house or a vacant lot.  Check how much simoleons / LPs / SPs you have as against the cost of the house you want to buy.  Once you have bought a new house, you will have the ability to add a new sim to your town.

With all the above conditions met, you can add a sim to your town in three ways:

1.  Buy a house - Just view your town and tap on any blue house icon and choose add a sim.  Follow the rest of the instructions.

2. Have a married sim couple have a baby - A married sim couple can have a baby, and therefore, a new sim is added to your town.  To add a baby, just go to the married sim couple's house, tap on the home store, tap on furniture and choose infant section.  Buy a crib and place it anywhere in the house where it will fit.

3.  Adopt a sim - You can add a new sim to town by adopting a toddler, pre-teen or teenager.  Just tap on any phone and purchase one from the online store. Note that you would need to complete the "A Quest for Toddlers", "Preparing for Pre-Teens", and "Coming of Age" quests to unlock each age group.

Beginner's Guide: Buying / Selling / Moving Items

BUYING / SELLING / MOVING ITEMS During the course of your game, you will be buying, selling and moving items a lot, so, here's how to do it.  Let's have  buying a toilet as our first example.  See the icon of a chair and a lamp right there? Click it to access the Home Store where you can buy items for your sim's house. Choose the furniture tab on the upper left side and then click on bathroom tab to see the items for your sim's bathroom.  At this level (level 1), you only have one for each bathroom items. As you level up, more items will be unlocked and available in the home store. For now, let's choose the Stains Bros. Toilet by clicking on it. To move the toilet, tap on the Home Store, just like when you are buying items.   To position the toilet to your desired location, just tap on the object, click and hold the circle with four arrows, and drag to where you want the toilet to be. Beginner's Guide: What is the maximum number of sims I can have and how do I unlock them?

Perhaps one of the many reasons why gamers prefer The Sims Freeplay over The Sims Mobile is the ability to have more than 4 playable sims in your town. The Sims Mobile allows you up to 4 sims only, while in The Sims Freeplay, you can have a maximum of 55 sims, but without VIP perks, you can only have up to 34 sims.  You can add one new sim at VIP Level 6, 8, and 10; and 4 more sims at VIP Level 15 which gives you 7 additional sims with your town limit totalling to 41 sims.  Check out below table to know how and when you can unlock sims in the game.   LEVEL SIM UNLOCKED? Beginner's Guide: Caring For Your Sims

Just like us humans, your sims have basic needs that you have to fulfill in order for them to become "inspired" (you'll know your sims are inspired once you see green sparkles around your sim and the cupcake icon found just above the needs bar stops flashing) and have the energy to work, perform tasks or hobbies, and to earn more than an "uninspired" sim would. 1. HUNGER To fulfill a preteen, teen and adult sim's hunger, all you have to do is tap on a fridge, a meal cooked by a sim, or a Thanksgiving Banquet (it's a dining table found in the Dining Room tab of the Home Store) and pick from the choices what to give your sim.  For an infant and toddler, tap on an adult sim to be fed. 2.  BLADDER To empty a sim's bladder, just tap on a toilet and let your sim use it. 3.  ENERGY To fulfill energy, let your sim sleep on a bed or sit on a sofa or chair, or have a coffee by tapping on a coffee machine or tea set. 4. HYGIENE To tidy up yo...
